Marrying the Fleeting Images of Snapchat Selfies and Anthotypes.
In this project, my work breaks down and restructures the digital by using the practice of the anthotype to re-illustrate the ephemeral images of my younger Snapchat self. In my refiling of my personal archive within Snapchat and combining them with the photographic process of the anthotype, I am exploring the convergence of digital and analogue photography with reference to the ephemeral image, looking at how the selfie becomes a central vehicle for crafting relationships online and how it is a formative experience in performative self-expression within my generation.
